Welcome home!
The Thousand Oaks Seventh-day Adventist community of faith is a growing family who are excited about keeping Jesus first.  It is our intention to share the love of Jesus Christ and be helpful and supportive in any way that we can.  We are mindful of safety while striving to nurture each generation in spiritual growth.  We also strive to make community outreach a priority, for we do not see ourselves as separate from the community, but a support to be the hands of Christ to all.  We look forward to having fellowship together with you.

About Pastor Jon…

Pastor Jon is in a committed relationship with Jesus Christ and Gaylene, his high school sweetheart and wife of more than thirty years.  His family of children started out with three by birth and has now expanded to include one son-in-law, four hanai* children and two grandchildren.  He has served in ministry since 1992 and has a Bachelor of Arts dual degree in Religion and Pastoral Ministry with a minor in Biblical Languages from La Sierra University. He has a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University and is currently completing his Doctorate in Ministry from Claremont School of Theology.  He has served in ministry for the Southeastern California Conference (1994-2002), the Hawaii Conference (2002-2016) and the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (2016-current).  Aside from having a passion for sharing the Word of God in preaching, he is an accomplished musician and has the unique ability to be personally connected to all ages with his years of experience as a Youth & Young Adult Pastor.  He enjoys singing and playing guitar and has recently picked up the banjo and cello, although he laughs that the latter two are not prepared for performance.  His Scriptural intent is to love the Lord his God with all of his heart, soul and mind and to love his neighbors.
